History
Pałac wybudowany w Łazienkach Królewskich w Warszawie, według projektu Dominika Merliniego i Jana Chrystiana Kamsetzera. W latach 1772-1793 został rozbudowany przez króla Stanisława Augusta Poniatowskiego na bazie tzw. Łazienki Lubomirskiego (zaprojektowanej w latach 1680-1690 przez Tylmana van Gameren dla marszałka wielkiego koronnego Stanisława Herakliusza Lubomirskiego). Od 1775 roku pałac pełni rolę letniej rezydencji króla. W latach 1788-1793 pałac rozbudowano w stylu klasycystycznym wg projektu Dominika Merliniego. Autorami dekoracji malarskiej i rzeźbiarskiej byli m.in. Marcello Bacciarelli i Jan Bogumił Plersch.
