Urodzony w Dreźnie niemiecki inżynier. Absolwent Politechniki Drezdeńskiej wspomagał wrocławskich architektów swoimi obliczeniami w wielu przedsięwzięciach. Był bliskim współpracownikiem Maxa Berga, pomagał mu przy jednej z największych realizacji, czyli budowie Jahrhuderthalle. Oprócz tego w porftolio miał takie dzieła jak mosty (Warszawski-środkowy, Trzebnicki-północny, czy most Pomorski). Zmarł w 1956 r. w Brackwede.
